On August 24, 2024, the Stockholm Concert Hall—a sacred venue for the Nobel Prize ceremony—hosted the annual World Peace Award Ceremony. This event brought together approximately 300 peace ambassadors and guests from 30 countries around the world, all united in their efforts to advance global peace. This significant moment not only marked the continued development of global peace initiatives but also demonstrated the international community's shared pursuit of peace.

The ceremony was divided into two main parts. The first part was a seminar on peace, where participants engaged in in-depth discussions around three core themes: what is peace, the causes of conflict, and how to create a culture of peace. Thirteen speakers from around the world shared their insights and experiences on these topics, providing valuable wisdom and inspiration to the guests in attendance. At the subsequent World Peace Award ceremony, several important guests delivered speeches. The Chairman of the Committee World Peace Award and Conference, the Venerable Dr. Phravittespunyaporn, the Chairman of the World Buddhist Propagation Organization in the UK, Chao Khun Phrarajawithetpanyakhun (Chao Khun Laow) and representatives from different religious denominations and representatives from world peace organizations all expressed their best wishes and firm commitments to world peace in their addresses.

In addition, the World Peace Award recipients included the Honorable Mr. Sutin Klungsang, His Excellency Dr. Donald Tulsidas and others, in recognition of organizations and individuals who have contributed to the cause of peace.

Dr. Teo Choo Guan, the advisor of the committee World Peace Award, also delivered a heartfelt speech at the ceremony. He expressed his immense excitement to be here again in a different capacity and shared his profound insights from his life journey: "Mutual respect" is the most noble value of being a human being. Everyone's life is different. Everyone must respect the differences, share and care for others despite differences, thus it can create a harmonious world.
