On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and the 'China-Malaysia Friendship Year,' the Second China-ASEAN Youth International Art Exhibition was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 18 to 20. This art exhibition was co-organized by the China Conservatory of Music, the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, Guangxi International Expo Group, the Malaysia Belt and Road International Art Education Alliance, Sabah Art Institute, and the Malaysian Maritime Silk Road Society. The event aimed to build a bridge for communication and understanding among the youth of China and ASEAN, promoting dialogue and deepening mutual understanding through artistic performances.

During the three-day exhibition and exchange event, more than 400 youths from China and ASEAN countries gathered in Kuala Lumpur to showcase their artistic talents and youthful dreams through instrumental performances, vocal acts, choral singing, and other forms of expression. The event highlighted the richness and charm of different cultures. Through these exchanges, the young participants connected the world with music, deepened their understanding of each other, and enjoyed the beauty and emotional resonance that music brings. They gained respect and friendship during the activities, while expert judges provided professional critiques of their artistic performances.

This art exhibition is one of the key initiatives in the implementation of the 'Memorandum of Understanding on Deepening Cooperation' between the China Conservatory of Music and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, as well as Guangxi International Expo Group. Moving forward, the China Conservatory of Music and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat will further collaborate on projects such as establishing the 'China-ASEAN University Music and Arts Exchange Platform' and promoting the 'China-ASEAN Youth Art Study Abroad Fast Track.' These efforts will enhance the promotion of China's outstanding traditional music culture, strengthen artistic exchange practices with ASEAN countries, and provide more opportunities for young people to engage in dialogue through the language of art. Ultimately, these initiatives aim to build an artistic bridge for deeper cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN, contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
